It's freezing in LA! Issue 6 - Greenwashing - an independent magazine about climate change

With weak green recovery plans proposed left, right and centre, we've been thinking about the level to which greenwashing runs through climate action. So, in issue 6, we explore the places where green motives aren't what they seem. We look at greenwashing in the political classes of Lebanon, the treatment of the environmental movement in Michaela Coel's 'I May Destroy You', and the green tensions in the occupied Palestinian Territories. We investigate the true implications of Big Energy so-called 'net zero commitments', the fake green principles of Silicon Valley architecture, and at the impact of US sustainable policy which has left communities out of pocket.

IFLA! is a critically acclaimed independent magazine with a fresh take on climate change. Printed bi-annually, we find the ground between science and activism, inviting writers and illustrators from a variety of fields to give us their view on how climate change will affect — and is affecting — society.

We want to help untangle the environmental tensions and choices that humanity must navigate by platforming as many different perspectives as we can find. IFLA! provides original, engaging and surprising content, widening environmental discussion and platforming essential conversations about difficult topics. We also hold climate change events in London, the majority of which are free or with accessible ticket options. We also run green workshops and projects.
