Join us for an evening with artist Bethan Hughes, who will present her new publication together with editor and publisher Anna-Sophie Springer Elastic Continuum released this spring in K. Verlag’s Processing Process series.
The book traces the material and symbolic trajectories of the rubber-producing dandelion Taraxacum koksaghyz—from Soviet agro-imperial ambitions to contemporary EU bioengineering—intertwined with the artist’s own encounters across archives, laboratories, and landscapes. Blending research, image, and storytelling, Hughes offers a moving counter-narrative to extractive knowledge systems, inviting more porous ways of relating to the vegetal world.
