Lavender Suarez is a sound healing practitioner, meditation teacher, electronic musician, and artist. She has led workshops and performances at major museums and cultural institutions, including the Museum of Modern Art, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Hirshhorn Museum, and the Rubin Museum of Art, offering educational and meditative listening experiences. She was an assistant to the late composer Pauline Oliveros, founder of the "Deep Listening" practice.
Suarez performs and releases music under the name C. Lavender, with albums and recordings on Editions Mego, iDEAL Recordings, RVNG Intl., Old Technology, and other labels.
