It is a fanzine with nine different stories of Iraqi young adults moving from Iraq – a country riddled with wars in the last decades – to Berlin. You will hear voices of different protagonists: one who came as a refugee crossing several countries on foot, one who got to Berlin to continue studies. In any of these cases the stories are united by reflections on what ‘a homeland’ could mean, what moving from one country to another on the mental level is, and what is that one does not find a replacement for in a new country. The fanzine was financially supported by Berlin University Alliance and enriched by vivid illustrations of Polina Parygina.
