Ticket - Walking with Plants with Sina Ribak

This walk is an invitation to engage with plants and the worlds they create. Shrubs, grasses or flowers are often invisible. The plant’s connections to many lifeforms, including our own, mostly go unnoticed. Thanks to the gestures of walking and attention, perceptions may shift.

While this is not a botanical tour, Sina Ribak shares ecological insights that invite attendees to personally experience the realm of plants and their symbionts. Surprisingly, many symbiotic relations can be observed in urban nature. Walking With Plants creates time to relate to plant-worlds and space for exchange in a small group of open-minded people.

Access:
A slow-paced outdoor walk with moments of speaking and of quietness.  
Main language is English. Spontaneous translation to German is possible. 
To activate senses and practice attention, phones and cameras are best kept in the pocket on silent mode. This urban stroll follows sidewalks and green areas in the vicinity of Zabriskie. Due to street crossings, the route is not fully barrier-free.

Sina Ribak, is a writer, researcher and educator, known from “The Between Us and Nature – A Reading Club“, a shared public space for collective reading across disciplines and life forms, with artist Eva-Fiore Kovacovsky in collaboration with Zabriskie since 2017. Through collective walking and ecological thinking, she explores knowledges that can challenge monocultures.
