210 hectares of forest in the middle of Berlin. In its variety of forms and the transformations it has seen over time, Tiergarten is simultaneously history, artifact, and nature, demonstrating our relationship to the city. Indifferent to the constraints of function and representation, it is determined by pure contingency.
