Notebook Reliefs - Vegetable Garden & Fruit

These twelve watercolor illustrations by Édouard Maubert come from the iconographic atlas accompanying volume 17 of The Plant Kingdom, a work divided into sections covering general botany, medicinal and practical flora, botanical and applied horticulture, vegetable plants, fruit trees, ornamental plants, agricultural and forest plants, as well as a biographical and bibliographical history of botany. The work was particularly intended for the study of vegetable and fruit gardens. The Plant Kingdom is the work of Jean-Augustin Barral, with Aristide Dupuis contributing to thirteen of its volumes.
